That was my first experience with what most of you consider to be modern. I...I had fun while I was there, but it was admittedly a little difficult at times when those men with cameras would appear. What are they called? Papa-something.

[Cameras were actually pretty rad until that happened. Now she's unsure how she feels about them. Rude, rude paparazzi.]

I was just wondering though, is it normal for something like that to happen?

Everyone is eager to know where the flow of power goes. [ They do at least have political marriages on Krypton. That much she can understand perfectly. ] Still, there should be a certain measure of respect with that.

I wonder if it's because you're a woman. Humans seem to have the strangest attitudes about gender.

I'm not from Earth. It only seems to confuse people when I call them Terrans.

Oh. Where are you from, if I might ask?

[Not that it'll make a spectacular amount of difference for Snow. She's only familiar with Earth, after all. She'd like to know more though, if she can.]

I'm from a planet called Krypton. It's pretty far from Earth, about twenty-seven lightyears.

[She doesn't know what those are, but she imagines it's pretty far away since she's never heard of it when thinking of the heavens.]

Do you miss it?

I do. [ It comes out little more than a whisper. That's the whole reason she's here. ] More than anything.

It's alright. [ She smiles, though she's not very good at making look like anything other than trying to be strong. ]

Once I'm done here I'll be able to go home. It'll be worth it.

[Snow's not going to point that out to her. Her strength is admirable from her perspective. How genuine the smile looks or not doesn't matter. It's the fact she can find it in herself to smile at all that does.]
