you can't have my heart

[A very important part of who and what Snow is has left her right now. The queen of Tabor is looking more sullen than usual and vastly more insecure. She's actually looking down at her hands for a long moment before she speaks and even then, she only brings her gaze up about halfway.]

Many of you have heard stories of me before. Of a woman who murdered my father and tried to poison me and died for it.

[She looks up fully. Kindness has made itself scarce with Snow.]

That much is true though the details are somewhat wrong. My stepmother was a murderess. She used a phantom army, pretending to be a beautiful and helpless prisoner to seduce my father. [Something in her eyes looks distant.] I saw him there in his bed. With her dagger in his chest and lying in a pool of blood. I could hear the screams as she had everyone slaughtered. I watched countless maidens pass through the dungeon. Once young and beautiful, soft maidens that any man would desire and any girl would wish to become. Each of them left, ruined by her.

[Snow sits back and is silent for a moment.]

I can't help but wonder if this Barge is not more like her than I once assumed...
